Between the frigid temperatures, layer upon layer of clothing and horrific driving conditions, it’s no wonder that for most Canadians, winter can often get the best of us! Are you looking for something to lift your spirits? Or better yet, satisfy your taste buds during the cold months ahead?
For the months of January and February, the Glenerin Inn is offering a fabulous (and delicious) Winterfest prix fixe menu at a special promotional rate. Available at both lunch and dinner, each menu will feature hearty appetizers, savoury entrees and delicious desserts. The lunch menu offers any two courses at the special rate of $17/per person.
To start off, guests can choose from the following appetizers: The Chef’s Homemade Soup, Rustic Greek Salad (romaine hearts dressed with lemon oregano garlic dressing topped with feta tomato & olives), or Quinoa, Apple & Arugula Salad, tossed in a sweet and savoury citrus vinaigrette. For the main attraction, several different entrees are available to choose from. They include the following: Grilled Chicken Sandwich on a kaiser with roasted red pepper and boursin cheese, Frittata – served as a skillet prepared Italian omelette with grilled vegetables, Fish & Chips – beer battered haddock served with french fries, coleslaw, malt vinegar and tartar sauce, or the Daily Feature Dish.
Meanwhile, the dinner menu offers guests the whole nine yards; three courses at the special rate of $35/per person. With this menu, guests can choose from the following appetizers: The Chef’s Homemade Soup, Rustic Greek Salad (romaine hearts dressed with lemon oregano garlic dressing topped with feta tomato & olives) or Antipasto for two. Up next is the pasta course, which contains delicious and fresh Cheese Ravioli, containing stuffed ricotta, parmesan & mozzarella in a marinara sauce. Entrée options include the following: Grilled Atlantic Salmon accompanied by a pink grapefruit ginger sauce, Rib Eye Grilled Steak in a horseradish peppercorn butter sauce, a 9oz AAA certified angus beef steak, or Chicken Supreme – a tender piece of chicken in a tarragon red wine cream sauce.
The Daily Feature Dish will also be available and your server will have details when you come to visit. Guests can finish off with a wide selection of desserts as well – the perfect ending to a great meal and to satisfy your sweet tooth!
The Glenerin Inn restaurant can accommodate large or small parties and the dining room is also well suited for special occasions. Offering creative recipes and a superb wine list, The Glenerin Inn will help create an experience that you’ll remember; whether it is a romantic dinner, gathering with friends or family or an informal night out!
We look forward to seeing you!
